The publication “The Untapped Potential of Digital Knitting as a Counter-Concept to Fast Fashion” reflects a year’s research on digital knitting. It includes insights from industry experts and emphasizes the technology’s societal implications. The study highlights how digital knitting can redefine manufacturing, challenge fast fashion, and promote adaptable, localized production methods.
In February 2023, I spoke at the Commons In Design conference in Basel, Switzerland, addressing the intersection of commoning, design, and sustainability. After the event, I was invited to write an article titled “Lo-tech is the New Hi-tech” for an upcoming book, which explores open-source design and its connection to the commons.
