Which candidate has raised the most money?/Quale candidato ha raccolto più soldi?
(EN) Since the beginning of this year, the candidates to the White House are well known around the world. My favourite, Obama, is the first major party presidential nominee to refuse general election public financing in the history of the program: he chose to raise his own funds instead of accepting $84 million of taxpayer money. Obama grassroots fundraising campaign is also the first one to rely primarily on the Internet to collect small donations from numerous contributors and, doing so, relying on a new kind of politics, one that does not favor the wealthy and powerful (see infographic above). Using the original interview recording as the soundtrack, director Josh Raskin has woven a visual narrative which tenderly romances Lennon’s every word in a cascading flood of multipronged animation. Pen drawings by James Braithwaite and digital illustrations by Alex Kurina.
