Tax gap in UK big business / Quanto guadagnano e quanto pagano le big inglesi

Fotsie is the nickname share index of the 100 most highly capitalised UK companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. Guardian online created a database with an online interface, Tax Gap, showing the phenomenal profits generated by these 100 companies during a four-year boom, and comparing them with the amount of taxes they paid. The blue dot is the profit, the light blue dot is what they should have paid in taxes and the pink dot is what they actually paid. Fear Network / Il network della paura

(EN) Boing Boing has just published a series of posts titled  Climatic Heresy in which the guest editor (Charles Platt) comments  a bunch of books denying or putting doubts on the reality of global warming. One of these contains a map ( based on CHristopher Horner book) called Climate Change Policy Funding Fear through which he wants to show which interests (money) are involved in promoting the fear of climate change. I’m fed up about these climate skeptics or wanna-be-balanced commenters (and im surprised BB gives so much space to him, who also defended WalMart!!) because time to discuss is over, it’s time to act or we are done. This is the highest result in the last 6 years, tells us Andy Balo who’s been publishing an annual report on the topic since 2002. Si tratta della percentuale più alta degli ultimi 6 anni, ci dice Andy Balo che dal 2002 pubblica un report annuale sull’argomento.
