It’s greek to me / Parla arabo

(EN) Stereotypes hide in many languages and I found an infographic classifing the expressions used around the world when a speaker encounters difficulties in understanding a discourse: “It seems arab to me”, we say in italian. In english they say: “It’s all greek to me”. In greek they say: “It’s all arabic to me”. Precarity chains / Catene logiche della precarietà

I still remember the brainstorming we did to create these logic chains of precarity, still up to date with what we are living today. ———– (IT) Nel 2004 ho curato la grafica e le infografiche nel Precarity Issue del Greenpepper Magazine. Ancora mi ricordo il brainstorming che abbiamo fatto per realizzare queste catene logiche della precarietà, attuali anche oggi.

He’s got it bigger / Lui ce l’ha più grosso

(EN) Disparity in salary is a reality every woman has to deal with in her professional career. The interactive infographic published online by New York Times shows clearly that the higher the wage, the greater the disparity (female surgeons earn 40% less! ). (IT) Le disparità di salario sono una realtà che ogni donna si trova a dover affrontare nella sua carriera professioale. Per avere un’idea dei livelli toccati negli States esplorate l’infografica pubblicata sul New York Times che mostra, dalle ultime statistiche, come le donne guadagnino meno a tutti i livelli. Ma non solo, più si guadagna più la disparità aumenta (le chirurghe guadagnano circa il 40% in meno!).
