(EN) What happens when a thematic mapping variable is substituted for land area? You have the great collaborative work of the people behind Worldmapper: they developed an algorithm that allows you to see the world and the various sizes of the country therein, through various statistics. The results are comparable maps (cartograms)  whose geometry or space is distorted in order to convey the information of a chosen variable.
